As I look back on my teen years, there were many things I had to figure out on my own, like self-awareness, finding my voice and how to manage my emotions. I can’t help but think how much easier life would have been, had I been given the emotional support and information needed to be able to develop emotional awareness and coping skills - especially during times when I encountered challenging situations.

I want every young girl to have a sacred space where they are able to feel safe talking about ‘girl stuff’ and express their feelings without fear of judgment. This charitable club has been created as a platform to teach our young girls how to manage those big emotions, how to cultivate self-esteem, self-awareness and the life skills that they so desperately need in order to be able to make wholesome choices, succeed and be well-equipped to experience womanhood as emotionally healthy and grounded human beings.

My mission is to empower each girl that joins our club with the awareness that every choice they make, and every action that they take affects not only their present and their future, but also everyone and everything around them... this is the Butterfly Effect.

To provide a safe space where young girls can feel nurtured, so that they may be inspired to see their worth, make healthy choices, find their voice, have healthy relationships and flourish into their true potential as emotionally healthy young women.
Our Vision
Our vision is to to expand this message beyond Mercer County so that every girl will have the opportunity to benefit from a space where she can learn how to manage her emotions, find her voice, develop self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills. Because when every girl claims her place in her community, she will be moved to mentor the younger girls coming behind her and give back to the same community that nurtured her.

At Butterfly Effect Girls Club of MC we believe that every girl's emotional wellness is rooted in her strong connection to her community. When girls have the emotional support of a strong community, they are grounded in their identity as young women, and are inspired to reach their true potential.

*The $10 one time registration fee covers your young girl's club T-shirt. The $7 monthly membership ($3.50 per session) helps defray costs associated with the ongoing purchase of supplies and meals/snacks.
